Our employment and skills planning programme explained
In 1999, GRIS DÉCOUPAGE introduced an employment and skills planning programme (GPEC) even though our workforce has always been far below the 300-employee threshold at which such schemes have been mandatory in France since 2005. The programme took two years’ work to become fully operational.
The aim of the scheme is to fully match the skills available within the company to the company’s real, ongoing needs.
The company was rewarded for its policy when in 2002 it received the MANAGEMENT & SKILLS Trophy organised by French business periodical Enjeux Les Échos and training organisation CEGOS and presented in person by Louis Schweitzer, CEO of RENAULT and Chairman of the Jury in 2002.

For employees
Employees know that their remuneration package reflects the true value of their work and skills and that they can rely on the company’s active support in pursuit of their career objectives, in particular at an annual progress review meeting.
For the company
The company knows that it has all the tools it needs to stay one step ahead of the many changes it will have to face in order to successfully pursue its development in its social and economic environment.
The GPEC programme provides a structure for monitoring and planning:
- Jobs and careers,
- Skills management,
- Employee performance measurement tools,
- Job satisfaction,
- Involvement in work,
- Attachment to the company
