FINISHING

Any subcontracted finishing work is systematically quality-tested before delivery to our subcontractors and on return to us.
 

Heat treatment

•  Tempering: increases the overall hardness of a part.
•  Annealing: increases the mechanical strength of a treated part by reducing the hardness and internal mechanical stresses produced by tempering.
•  Case hardening : increases the surface hardness of a part made of mild or semi-mild steel and also provides wear resistance and fatigue strength.
•  Carbonitriding: a diffusion treatment process to improve the hardenability of parts, producing greater core strength. This process, similar to case hardening, may be preferred for some types of metal.

Surface treatment

All our finishing work complies with EU directives:

1- RoHS restricting the use of a number of hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment and prohibiting the use of six heavy metals.

2- ELV (end-of-life vehicle) directive 

•  Electro-galvanising (e.g. alkaline zinc, zinc nickel)
•  Flake coatings (e.g.: Geomet®)
•  Cataphoresis
•  Phosphating
•  Other protection methods to customer specifications
