The Kaizen system: a concept developed in Japan !
Since 1997, some 500 innovative suggestions have improved the way we do things in the company!
This instrument to promote in-house initiative and creativity, based on a concept developed in Japan, was introduced at GRIS DECOUPAGE in 1997.
We encourage suggestions affecting every aspect of company life: quality, safety, efficiency, ways to simplify methods and procedures. Each suggestion made by those who are closest to the day-to-day reality of company life adds another building block to the edifice.
The suggestion box system is based on recognition rather than reward.
It is not simply another way to earn a bonus but a channel through which our personnel can improve the production system while gaining personal recognition and a write-up in our quarterly in-house newsletter.
Goal: three suggestions per person per year:
Once a year, three winners in three different categories receive a symbolic but highly appreciated reward at a ceremony attended by the local press and designed to maximise staff motivation.
